The cup is good quality and nice to drink from. Two detractors: while the lid is a somewhat "splash resistant", but it is absolutely not "splash-proof". The lid is actually quite poorly designed as the opening we drink from has no ability to create even a rudimentary seal. For me, my cup holders are larger around than what the cup is defined for. For me, it would be better if the cup was a bit larger in diameter and then could be a little shorter and still be 16 ounces. But, I appreciate having a porcelain cup that can hold more than 8 ounces, so overall I'm still basically satisfied, even though it could surely be better.
