Smith's is proud to offer a 2-stage sharpening rod for the Fishing category. The 9" Ceramic Sharpening Rod is designed to allow the user to put a quick sharp edge on your Fillet or pocket knife then polish that edge to razor sharpness for cutting. Unlike conventional steels, which only re-align the cutting edge, the Smith's Round Ceramic Sharpening Rod hones and re-aligns the cutting edge at the same time. The pull-through sharpening slot in the handle uses crossed carbide blades to sharpen both sides of a dull blade with just 3 or 4 pulls. Then use the extra-fine ceramic rod to hone and polish that cutting edge to razor sharpness. It comes with a soft grip handle and oversized hand guard for comfort and safety. The non-slip rubber tip on the end of the sharpening rod protects your surface from scratching and provides stability when sharpening.
