I tried to install with these mounted in the caliper like I have always done and I couldn't do it. After way too much time, I removed the pads from the caliper and tried to slide only the pad over the caliper mount. I found out the opening of the pad was too short. I felt pretty dumb spending all of that time trying to mount the assembly! FYI: I had my State of CA Brake Certification in 1973 and this has never happened before. I guess I'll stick to Wagner, Delco, or Bendix.
