The jar is beautiful. I love looking at it in my pantry. The lid just pops open. I have to close it and then twist it. It usually stays shut, but not always.Even though this jar is a pain, I bought it in another color in hopes that it was a one-off. The other color also just pops open, but the twisting trick seems to work good enough. I probably won't buy another one though.Bought two one for each of my sisters in different colors. They loved them not large enough for big cookies but perfect for small treats.I bought this to utilize as a vase at my sons memorial. Now I get to use it in our hone daily and it reminds me of him. His favorite color was grey. What a wonderful item. Glad I purchased it.Beautiful quality. Wish there was a larger size to purchase also.
