I wanted a really good egg poacher and this is an excellent one with a lovely glass cover. I wish, however I had purchased a two-cup poacher since I live alone but didn't see one at the time. I took two of the cups out and put them in a drawer so they don't get dirty but are available if I have company. The eggs will poach nicely on my stove in approximately 5 minutes then I slide them from their cups onto buttered toast. The issue with this poacher, however, is the metal handle on the cups that are hot and need to be lifted out but I have solved that by using a couple of folded webbed rectangles used for opening jars. Actually the little spatula usually doesn't have to be used if cooking spray is put on the bottom of the cups first and the eggs are not hard boiled. Overall, a quality poacher that will last a long time.This poacher is a great way to cut down on fat I put only 3 stars for cleaning because I wish you could put it in the dishwasherNice heavy quality pan with well fitting inserts. So neat for a poached egg on toast and will use it for eggs Benedict. May have to buy more for Christmas gifts.Bought to replace our old 40+ year old 4-egg poacher, with this stylish and well built 2-egg poacher. What a pain to keep together and clean.The eggs came out just fine, but I would rather my old pan that had an insert with four divots to plane the place the eggs.Love the little cupsThis item is sturdily and well made however: the four steam vents make it hazardous to take out the four poachers and also, the handle of the poachers are stainless steel and reach the boiling point of water and cannot be used as handles without gloves. The poachers do not clean easily.I am not returning it as I have been able to find four poachers which fit the pan and which have reinforced plastic handles making them safe to use. The issue of steam venting is one that I will cautiously live with.This Poaches eggs very well and is non stick.The first time of using the pan ,the glass lid cracked across the vent hole and in a second place.This certainly a health hazzard and should be rectified.I am not certain if i ingested any of the glass fragments ( I hope not)As it stands the poacher will not perform correctly now that the lid is unsafe and a lid is required to give an even cook of the eggs.Brilliant quality, and amazing to look at…. Looks like brand new every time you clean it. Can be used as good sized fry or sauté pan with added bonus of a lid. The deep pan makes making the poached eggs a lot easier than regular shallow cheaper versions, where you can easily mis judge how much water you use and over boil the eggs. The ceramic cups are easy cleaned and are a great shape for the finished poached egg. The only reason I’ve not give it 5 stars is the cup handles get quite hot to handle with them being metal. Should of been a ceramic knob of some sort. Other than that…. Perfect !Very pleased with this 6 egg poacher. Upgraded due to purchasing an induction hob and my old 4 egg poacher was no longer compatible. This pan is a good size, can be used without the poacher if needs be. The cups are large - room to spare with a large hens egg - and are non stick. I found a butter spray better than butter itself for greasing.Washes well and feels sturdy. I've been using this for a few weeks so far and very happy with my purchaseThis is well made but poorly designed. Very difficult to get the poachers in and out without burning yourself. Also difficult to get the eggs as the handles are metal and get really hot. The handle is plastic and stinks if it is too close to the heat.
