Description
Order a take-out pizza for your well-organized BBQ or party? Maybe not so good. Why not impress your friends and bring the party into perfection by making your own artisanal pizza? That sounds amazing. With this select pizza stone it can be very easy to achieve that. The pizza stone endures high temperature up to 1000 F (540 C), made of all-natural, high-quality cordierite, which gives a rustic flavor with crispy crust. You can use it not only in oven, but also on grills. HOW TO USE? 1. Before using for the first time, wash the stone with warm water and then dry it thoroughly. 2. Preheat - Place the pizza stone in the middle of a cold oven, switch on the oven to 500°F (260°C) and preheat for about 15 minutes. 3. Bake - Slide the prepared pizza onto the hot stone using a heat-resistant pizza peel. Switch the oven to 400-450°F (200-230°C) , bake 12-18 minutes, check at 10 minutes, continue baking to your liking. 4. Serve - Remove the pizza by sliding the peel beneath the cooked pizza, leave the stone in the oven at least until it is entirely cool. Now it’s the time to cut and enjoy your crispy pizzeria-pizza. NOTE: This item is mainly for bakery, may not suitable for grilling. Read more

I bought a ceramic baking stone a few years ago, thinner than this, worked ok in my 450 degree Breville toaster oven for making pizzas and baking loaves of bread, but I put it into my new wood fired (900 degree) pizza oven and it broke in half from thermal shock. That one was basic ceramic, not cordierite. Ordered this as a replacement, it is cordierite. Cordierite is what they make pottery kiln shelves from, it has very high heat tolerance, basic ceramic does not. This is much thicker, it has the logo cast into it (looks cool) and I tested it in the hot pizza oven making naan. Got up to about 800 degrees without issue. This is the real deal. Much thicker than the basic stones, if you have a Breville Smart Oven, this is the stone you want. If you're making pizza or baking a hearth loaf, let it heat up for at least 20 minutes after the oven reaches temp so the stone gets hot all the way through. With basic care, it should last forever. All of these baking stones are porous, anything you spill on them (sauce, cheese, grease, oil etc) will burn on and stain them forever, so be careful.A little thicker than my old one, hence heavier. Hard to compare since my old one was so seasoned, and I don’t remember it new. All in all, a nice product.Nice and heavy dutyWay better than the metal pizza pan. Crust comes out like it came from a pizza restaurant.Very goodAll it advertised to beLoved it. It worked great. Would order againBought to use in my RV oven to make for even baking.
