This brush literally hurts. The bristles are so hard and it hurts to brush through the hair. I would not recommend.Great for long hair. it gives me the best curls and does not tangle in my hair. Sturdy and easy to hold and grip. The bristles do not melt when i blow dry. a life saverThis is a lightweight ceramic round hair brush. I couldn't believe how lightweight the brush is. It makes it really easy to style my hair and not have my hand be tired afterward.I'm not sure I knew what I was getting here. I thought I was just getting a hairbrush for my twin 11-year-old daughters to use, but when it arrived and I looked at it closely, I noticed right away that this is pretty different. There is a ceramic "barrel" that goes around the brush, and the bristles stick through the ceramic barrel. Reading the listing more closely now, I see that this is supposed to help apply heat to the hair more evenly for blow drying purposes. Also, it is supposed to do something with the ionic charge of your hair when you are blow drying. Well, my daughters almost never blow dry their hair, which means that this whole barrel concept is really not relevant to them. Oops a daisy. Also, the bristles of this brush are quite rough/sharp in my judgement, not like the bristles on so many brushes that have a ball at the end of them to make them more comfortable on your scalp. These bristles are definitely NOT comfortable on your head.My girls do not like this brush. They say that it gives their hair static electricity, which is interesting. I cannot validate that claim, since I have not seen this happen to them, but I know that they never use this brush anymore. The current price of $7.99 is OK, but if nobody is going to use it, then that's way too much.My wife has been looking for help in the frizzy hair department as she feels nothing has ever worked but this brush has! Her only qualm with the brush, which as she stated could just be user error, the bristles hurt her scalp if she brushes up against them while blow drying. But she is happy with the results of less frizz and a quicker dry so she will continue using. At the time of this review this brush is selling for $7.99. It is an excellent value. The bristles are called "vegan boar". Boar bristles are made from the thick "hairs" of boars. They are expensive and difficult to clean. These bristles do a good job of separating the hair and holding it taut within the brush. The barrel of the brush is coated in metal that helps to hold heat. It gives a smooth and shiny blow out result. I would recommend this item.I have wavy borderline curly hair. When i use this brush with my hair dryer - it makes my hair so soft and the frizz is extremely minimum. Highly recommend! My first time using this kind of brush. Recommended by my hairstylist. It works well. Dries hair fast and keeps hair soft with a nice body. The bristles cause a bit of pain when they hit my scalp. This is probably bec I’m not used to using this kind of brush. Great buy!
