Replaced blades on my Oster clippers. Thought I'd try these as something different. Don't know enough to say I notice a difference in "cut" but I do believe the clippers are a bit quieter.I’ve been using the Andis ceramic medium blade (finer teeth) on my Oster Topaz clippers which are the same as the fast feeds but black, as far as I know. My ANDIS blade chipped one tooth as I was careless while cleaning my equipment, didn’t really matter since it was on the edge and the teeth are fine so didn’t affect cutting, however I was tired of trying to adjust and force a “close to zero gap” on that blade. Since the Andis blade similar size in height as the oem blade, you can’t get a true zero gap. Saw this and decided to give it chance since the price was good.Thickness and width are no problem, will fit in your Osters as they are similar in size. The important part is the height, which is what allows for a zero gap closed blade as you could see in the pictures. The blade is perfect height, ignore the reviews that say it’s loose or will cut your skin on the fast feeds, that’s due to user error. If it’s loose or won’t stay in place, you probably lost the blade guide when taking the clippers apart. If it’s cutting your skin, you didn’t properly adjust the top blade when screwing it in, the blade is probably crooked and the ceramic blade will protrude past the guard. Just look on YouTube if you need help adjusting the gap. I use a small flat palm size piece of glass to press the blades flush as I tighten the screws as I adjust the blades, you can use your fingers too, I just used this method since I always had the glass surface with me in my kit and since it’s glass I know it’s always flat and won’t warp.Anyways I highly recommend this blade, just hope it last long I’m sure it will as I take care of my tools pretty well, but it’s cheap so it also won’t be a big lost. This is a review for the Oster clippers, I didn’t try it on my other brands so keep that in mind when buying, otherwise it might not fit.My sister love itgreat product had to break it on. but works great! This product is much thinner and slightly taller (very slightly) than the OEM metal blade. Unfortunately, this introduces a whole host of problems.1) The blade slightly overshoots the metal blade comb. The ceramic blade juts out slightly, which causes a sharp pricking and catching.2) The blade is slightly slimmer than the original, which introduces wobbling and play. There is a slight gap, but the blades move side to side, which results in uneven cutting. No parts were lost or misplaced during the installation. I checked the factory repair guide and reinstalled the original blade to make sure - no wobble afterwards. Overall a disappointment, as the blade arrived quickly and seemed initially to be a good replacement. This third party blade fits Oster Fast Feed. The leveling adjustment can be made to cut very close. However, the ceramic blade level can be raised beyond the edge of the bottom blade which might cause someone injury if not carefully leveled. The original Oster steel blade cannot be raised beyond the edge of the bottom blade. The ceramic blade has worked for me very well without the guides. When the guide comb is attached, the ceramic blade touches the guide comb on the sides and makes a rattling sound. Two of my original guide combs (blending and 1/4") have fractured at the location when the guide combs attach to the blades.Got sharper but not good like the andisI'm not sure why some folks are so confident with this ceramic blade replacement. I installed this on my Oster Fast Feed without issue, but as other reviews have stated the "groove" that holds this blade in place is not sized correctly causing the blades to slide out constantly - potentially harming skin. Also, this blade broke in half after only one use but that could have been my fault. I suggest using the Andis version of this blade which fits the Fast Feeds properly.my blades immediately started yanking hair after changing these, they are not sharp at all even duller then the my 5 years old blades, idk if i got bad ones or they are overall bad quality bcz they both are the same.i put it on my fast feed and used it, it fits and it definitely makes it sharper (u can also zero gap). i did drop it once and a peice of the tooth broke off but it still works lolAs advertisedProduct was already used.. there was hair on the blade ?
