I’ve owned two of these previously and is the only brand I will purchase. It works better and lasts longer than any others I’ve used in this price range. Typically, those last me about a year for and this brand has lasted me 5 years per purchase. I should add that I’m pretty hard on these tools as well. Always using max heat and accidentally dropping them and they still last!!! I’m ready to stock up!I bought these one time at the mall they scammed me I got this for 200 dollars smh . But anyways only after i dropped ir and broke it after idk how many years did I find it for 20 bucks on Amazon smh anyways this thing works in Egypt in case anyone wanna know it’s good quality it does what it gotta do straightens hella good it ain’t cheap lightweight it sturdy and uk it’s good if I was dumb enough to buy for 200 okay be smart and buy it for 20 okayPurchased for international travel. This is the fastest straightener I have used so far. I know they have a lot of new ones coming out, which i did buy one from the mall, but honestly I don't see any difference in damage or usefulness. I would stick to this one for the price difference, even after getting a great deal on the new one. If I had to buy another, I'd buy this one.I have curly/ wavy/ frizzy hair and this controls the frizzy amazingly. Works fast, heats VERY fast** (be careful not to burn whatever you put it on! I once left mine on on carpet on top of the bag it came in and dyed my carpet pink.. oops. I forgot it though so it was hours. Never had an issue doing it while using it.)My hair is dry and impossible to tame with most straighteners. I now mostly leave it curly to avoid damage but if I were to straighten it again, I use this straightener because I feel it does less damage than others due to only having to use it one time over each area of hair vs several with other brands. I don't recommend using it on wet hair though. It steams, burns your head, and kinda feels like it's frying your hair... plus makes it frizzy and causes you to go over it several times vs once if it's dry. If you do use it wet, shake it gently as you go over the part next to your head to avoid getting burnt.This is the second one of these I have bought for my wife the first one lasted 10 years, side by side they are exactly the same, same brand etc. I have long hair as well and I can tell you or my wife can it’s built very well, doesn’t catch hair perfect size even for small hands grip wise. Heats up in about 2 minutes. This also reaches its advertised temp witch is a bit higher than other brands. I tested it with my temp gun. The plates are full ceramic not metal plates coated in some thin layer of ceramic, I know this cause her old one has finally cracked hence me buying her the replacement. Even cracked it still works and still doesn’t grab hair. But just for safety I ordered her a new one cause I have no idea how they are held in and don’t want a chunk of hot ceramic landing on my wife’s shoulder. All in all after 10 years it’s held up very well, I have bought her 2 of these but she has had a total of three the 15 year old one she bought in high school is still used by her sister. So I say buy it cause i only like buying things once if I can help it. 10 years of life is dollars per year, and at that rate it’s better than department store hype devices. If you want a well built product that does what it says and will last a long time and come in a cool color this is it.Do not buy this product. Bought it over a month ago but only opened it recently and I wish I had opened it sooner so that I could return and get my money back. It is completely cracked.
