Just had a breakfast of a soft boiled egg and love this. I was not expecting it to arrive the next day, but it sure did, and very carefully packed (I saw review images in other similar products with broken pieces) but hefty styrofoam was in between each plate to protect them from rattling against each other in transit. The spoons are a nice bonus, they are a nicely smaller size to the teaspoons in my utensils drawer which makes them perfect for soft boiled egg.I like this egg holder over other egg cups because typically if I'm boiling an egg, it's just to eat that egg, but the wine glass shape egg cups are messy or require an extra saucer to sit on and collect fallen salt/pepper or egg shells, etc. The curved saucer shape can catch salt and pepper when you season your egg and can also hold egg shells, spoon, or even an extra egg (awkwardly though- I do wish the egg holder portion was not centered in the middle so that the offset could hold an extra egg more securely but totally not necessary.anyway, glad I bought it.
